Questions
How does a guest use a drink ticket?
They open the link in their phone browser and show the QR code at the bar. Staff scan it and the balance drops.
Can a screenshot be used twice?
A screenshot points to the same balance on the server, so it can never be used for more drinks than are left.
Who can scan?
Staff with the bar login scan drinks; staff with the kitchen login scan food. The admin can scan both.
How long is a ticket valid?
For the day you choose, until 06:00 the next morning.
Can guests pass drinks on?
Yes. Whoever holds a link can give part of the balance to someone else as a new link.
What if a bartender scans by mistake?
Every scan can be undone for 15 seconds, and a second scan of the same ticket within five seconds asks first.
Can every guest get their own link?
Yes. Paste up to 500 names (or just pick a number) and every guest gets a personal link and QR. Print them as cards – eight per A4 – or download the list for a mail merge.
What is swipe mode?
When you create tickets you choose how they’re redeemed. In swipe mode the guest hands over their phone and the bartender swipes away one drink – no scanning. A full-screen green proof shows a live clock and how many seconds ago it was redeemed, so a screen recording doesn’t pass.
Is swipe mode as safe as scanning?
Not quite, and we say so. Scanning needs a staff login; a swipe only needs the guest’s phone, so it relies on the bartender doing the swiping. Use it for artists, DJs and crew you trust – and scan mode for everyone else. Swipe-mode tickets can always be scanned too.
